Make negation interactive, hands-on and fun with a Halloween twist!

In “Which Is Not Halloween?”, students look at three real-photo pictures on each page and answer “Which one is NOT a ______?”, by placing a red “not” X under the picture that doesn’t belong. A favorite for speech therapy, special education, and Halloween language units.

Halloween vocabulary includes candy corn, pumpkin bucket, jack-o’-lantern, ghost, witch, candy bowl, pirate, and more. My students love these adapted books!

🎓 Educational Benefits: Targets negation (a tough-to-teach language goal), builds Halloween vocabulary, and develops categorization, attention to detail, and receptive/expressive language. The real photos support generalization — which especially helpful for students with autism and any student that benefits from real photos.
