This Adapted Book And Activities, "The Twirly Little Unicorn" focuses preposition words, position concepts (preposition words), basic comprehension skills, "wh" questions and story sequencing.

This download includes:

1 Adapted Book

1 Set of Story Sequencing Strips

1 Hands-On Positions/Prepositions Practice Set

1 Cut And Glue Activity

In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story to a small group of students, as students follow along and move the unicorn into the correct position on each page. Students can also attach a matching piece to each page (included and optional). At the end of the story, students answer "wh" comprehension questions by matching the correct answer piece to each question page.

Students working at an independent level may read through the book and work through questions in a literacy center or independent work station. There are several extension activities included for extra practice. (Please see photos for details.)

Sample Text:

"Up in the sky, where the sun shined bright,

a twirly little unicorn was twirly as a kite.

She twirled next to a fairy,

and she twirled below a gnome.

She twirled over some flowers

as she headed far from home.

She twirled around a wizard,

and she twirled above a cloud.

She twirled under some mountains

and heard something very loud!"

Also included: The Twirly Little Unicorn as a digital adapted book
