"The Jiggly Little Jellyfish" Prepositions Adapted Book

This Ocean Adapted Book And Activities, "The Jiggly Little Jellyfish" focuses preposition words, position concepts (preposition words), basic comprehension skills, "wh" questions and story sequencing.

In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story to a small group of students, as students follow along and move the jellyfish into the correct position on each page. Students can also attach a matching piece to each page (included and optional). At the end of the story, students answer "wh" comprehension questions by matching the correct answer piece to each question page.

Students working at an independent level may read through the ocean themed book and work through questions in a literacy center or independent work station. There are several extension activities included for extra practice. (Please see photos for details.)

"Way down deep, in the cold, blue sea,

a jiggly little jellyfish was jiggly as can be.

He jiggled by an octopus,

and right under a fish.

He jiggled near a sea star

with a wiggle-jiggle-swish!

He jiggled past a puffer fish,

and high above a clam.

He jiggled on a sea turtle

and giggled when she swam!"
