This Back To School Adapted Book And Activities, "The Roley Little Crayon" focuses preposition words, position concepts (preposition words), basic comprehension skills, "wh" questions and story sequencing.

This download includes:

1 Adapted Book

1 Set of Story Sequencing Strips

1 Hands-On Positions/Prepositions Practice Set

1 Cut And Glue Activity

In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story to a small group of students, as students follow along and move the crayon into the correct position on each page. Students can also attach a matching piece to each page (included and optional). At the end of the story, students answer "wh" comprehension questions by matching the correct answer piece to each question page.

Students working at an independent level may read through the back-to-school themed book and work through questions in a literacy center or independent work station. There are several extension activities included for extra practice. (Please see photos for details.)

Sample Text:

"Out of the box, where the crayons rolled free,

a roley little crayon was as roley as can be.

She rolled over a glue bottle,

and rolled under a book.

She rolled beside a pencil,

where she stopped to take a look!

She rolled around some scissors,

and she rolled beneath a chair.

She rolled next to a marker

and left color everywhere!"

Also included: The Roley Little Crayon as a digital adapted book
