"The Wobbly Little Pumpkin" Prepositions Adapted Book

This Fall Adapted Book And Activities, "The Wobbly Little Pumpkin" focuses preposition words, position concepts (preposition words), basic comprehension skills, "wh" questions and story sequencing.

In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story to a small group of students, as students follow along and move the pumpkin into the correct position on each page. Students can also attach a matching piece to each page (included and optional). At the end of the story, students answer "wh" comprehension questions using the by matching the correct answer piece to each question page.

Students working at an independent level may read through the fall themed book and work through questions in a literacy center or independent work station. There are several extension activities included for extra practice. (Please see photos and video for details.)

"Way out back, 'neath a tall, fall tree.

A wobbly little pumpkin was as wobbly as can be.

He wobbled by and acorn,

and he wobbled by a leaf.

He wobbled near a squirrel...

that did a whirl in disbelief! (WEEEE!)

He wobbled on an apple

and he wobbled up some hay

He wobbled by a sunflower

and said, "Oh HAPPY DAY!"
